A Better Way Services recognizes the importance of protecting confidential information concerning clients, their families, employees, volunteers, and the operation of the agency.
Information regarding clients in our programs and facilities will be handled with professional courtesy and protected as confidential. Maintaining this confidentiality is not only a matter of agency policy, but also professional ethics and state law.
Client files are the property of the agency and information will not be revealed to anyone outside the agency unless a Client Consent for Disclosure statement has been signed by the client or unless authorized to do so by federal or state law or court order.
All client and A Better Way Services information maintained via paper, microfilm, or on any computer system or storage device is considered confidential. Computer systems allow qualified individuals to access from authorized systems, restricted and confidential client information and A Better Way Services, Inc. information.
Security and Privacy for Donors
A Better Way will not disclose privileged or confidential donor information to unauthorized parties. We commit to all donors and prospective donors that information created by, or on behalf of A Better Way, is the property of A Better Way and is protected and shall not be transferred or used except on behalf of our organization.
