Role Players serves as the “Lead Agency” and has fiscal responsibility ($183,000) for the Tobacco Free Coalition of Delaware County (TFCDC) whose vision is to improve the quality of life of Delaware County residents by promoting a healthy lifestyle through a comprehensive tobacco free initiative.

The TFCDC is one of 92 community partnerships funded by Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation (ITPC) for local community tobacco prevention and cessation programs and is funded by Indiana's portion of the Master Settlement Agreement reached in 1998 between 46 state Attorney Generals and the tobacco industry.

The Tobacco Free Coalition’s purpose is to educate the community about the health hazards caused by tobacco use as well as the health hazards caused by exposure to secondhand smoke or involuntary smoking. Delaware County now has smoke free restaurants due to the Coalition's efforts.  Keeping up to date on the latest research concerning these hazards is a continual effort. The Coalition hopes, through educating the public, to see a declining trend in the use of tobacco in Delaware County.
